Pond Plants

Tropical Lilies - The showiest of all water lilies. Day and night bloomers. They are available in blues, purples, pink, red, white and yellow. Flowers stand above water level and some varieties are very vagrant. Profuse bloomers April through the first frost.

Hardy Lilies - A true perennial of lilies. Growing season March through October.

Lotus - Mysterious and exotic, produces wonderful blooms and velvety leaves.

Bogs/Marginal - Are also known as emergent plants, their roots grow under the water and their foliage above the water. They range in water depth from damp soil to inches below the water surface.

Submersible

Hornwort - Free floating; provides shade, shelter and spawning media for fish.

Anarchis - A vigorous grower. Tiny, white flowers are produced on top of plant.

Cabomba - Subtropical species; bright green, fan-shaped, coarsely segmented leaves. Charming, white with yellow center, the small flowers bloom.

Parrot Feature - Floating or potted, adds beautiful color, texture is great in waterfall crevices and around pond edge.

Water Hawthorne - Available in November, is vanilla-scented. White flowers with black speckles bloom. Is a cold weather plant. Grows in full sun or shade. Usually goes dormant during warm weather Great winter plant.

Azolla (Fairy Moss) - Lacy, bright green fronds that turn reddish in full sun and in autumn. Great fish treat.

Note: Water Hyacinth and water lettuce are illegal in Texas.
